Melissa is a nationally recognized ceramic artist who lives in VECA and has a studio in her home. Many pottery fans have collected her wares since she first started selling her pomegranate vases and robin's egg blue egg vases to the small berry collider cups. Collectors have delighted in her work. When her oyster plates appeared in Garden and Gun magazine, they sold out in one day. Melissa attends ST. Mary's Episcopal Church with her husband Gary and her son. She is a member of Daughters of the King. We look forward to hearing from Melissa and seeing some of her work.
Join us for an inspiring evening with Memphis-based potter Lisa Hudson, who has been creating functional, handmade pottery since 1987. Through wheel-thrown and slab-built forms, Hudson's work reflects decades of craftsmanship, intention, and beauty. She’ll share the story behind her process and pieces in an intimate, reflective setting.
